I would like to welcome you to the Southeastern Area Blood Bankers’ website. It is our hope to provide our members and guests with continuing education, contacts, and information about the field of Blood and Tissue Banking. We are comprised of professional staff from hospital transfusion services, blood banks, reagent vendors, and medical schools in the southeastern area of the United States.
We provide continuing education at an annual Spring Meeting held in Atlanta, Georgia. This meeting takes place over two days and provides lectures and presentations from professionals in all aspects of the field to promote guidance and discussion in support of the AABB Standards Critical Elements. Our vendor sponsors are an integral part of our meeting. The latest technology is demonstrated in the equipment and reagents displayed by our vendor sponsors.
Please use this website and come and join us for education and fellowship at our Spring Meeting on March 4 and 5, 2009, at the Doubletree Suites in Atlanta, Georgia. Applications are available on this site. If you are booking a hotel stay , please do so early. There is special pricing, and the rooms go quickly. Jane L. Freeman, BSMT (ASCP) SBB Manager, Transfusion Service, Grady Healthcare System President, SEABB |
