Welcome to the Southeastern Area Blood Banker’s website dedicated to the field of Blood and Tissue Banking. Our membership consists of professional staff from hospital transfusion services, blood banks, reagent vendors, and medical schools in the southeastern area of the United States.
Our organization is rising to the challenge of these difficult economic times in order to continue offering the best in continuing education programs for our region. We are pleased to announce we are lowering the registration fees for both individual and institution members for the Atlanta, Georgia annual meeting, scheduled for March 17-18, 2010. In addition, a limited number of scholarships will be available on a first-come-first-served basis for members who have to pay out-of-pocket. The scholarship application form will be posted here on the website when meeting registration opens. We have also obtained a special room rate from the hotel for out of town vendors and members. We will once again offer special rates for students. All these actions make the meeting affordable for everyone.
An excellent educational program is being developed with leading professionals and current topics of interest. Our vendor sponsors will demonstrate the latest technology in equipment, reagents, and related products.
Please use this website and join us for an outstanding educational program and fellowship on March 17 and 18, 2010, at the Doubletree Suites in Atlanta, Georgia. All forms and detailed information will be available on this site. If you are booking a hotel stay, please do so early. There is special pricing, so rooms go quickly and the hotel has imposed a deadline of February 1, 2010. This year the $99 room rate includes a full breakfast buffet and wireless internet access.
